At Sunny Eggs, we select natural gemstones as our primary material to create our jewelry and accessories because they possess nature’s amazing one-of-a-kind patterns, colors, and sheen, depending on the stone you chose. To care for your bracelet on a daily basis:
Keep your bracelet dry
Avoid excess contact with water. The minerals and chlorine added to most tap water and swimming pools can damage the natural gemstones and metal spacer beads. Some crystals like selenite or angelite have a low Mohs hardness scale, therefore making them non-water-friendly crystals. If you accidentally submerge them in water, make sure to dry them off right away.
Take off your bracelet before working out
The Sunny Eggs crystal bracelet is suitable for everyday wear. However, to avoid excess scratching of the natural stones or overly stretching the elastic cord, take off your bracelet before exercise or other similar activities.
Protect your bracelet from harsh chemicals
Avoid contact with harsh chemicals. Lotions, harsh soaps, and sweat can create discoloration and build up between the crystals. Before using household cleaners or applying lotions and oils, makeup, hair spray, remove your bracelet.
Gently polish all precious metal components
Bracelets with gold-filled or 925 sterling silver components come with a polish cloth. When your spacers or charm components become dull and need polishing, gently polish and rub them in circular motion to clean. 925 Sterling silver can handle more polishing whereas gold-filled components are not, so avoid excess polishing.
Store your bracelet in a clean, dry place
All Sunny Eggs bracelets come with a reusable microfiber pouch. Use it to protect your bracelets when not worn. You can also store your bracelet inside of a jewelry box or other clean, dry place.
Clean with warm water and a mild dish soap when needed
If there’s any discoloration or build up on or in between the beads, you may clean it with warm water and a mild soap. Gently scrub the beads with a wet soft cloth or a soft toothbrush and a tiny amount of soap. Rinse under warm water, and dry gently with a clean soft cloth.
